And so our day comes to an end. Ron did fairly well today. Still sore from being in bed so long. After returning from his renal gram he was pretty tired. His nurse cleaned him up and cleaned his incisions, took care of meds and then he wanted to take a nap. I let him sleep for three hours and woke him around 1pm. He needed to eat some lunch and also get out of bed and into the cadillac chair. He stayed in the chair for about an hour and a half. He did not eat much today ....so I had him drink some ensures along with the feeding tube feedings he is getting. He sat up in bed this evening and ate a half slice of pizza. He still was not very hungry tonight. I did not push it too much since he does still have the feeding tube. We watched the republican presidential debates on TV. It was entertaining.......He is sleeping now...the nurse gave him something for pain. His surgery is scheduled for 1 or 1:30pm tomorrow give or take ....of course this all could change if an emergency surgery comes up or other surgeries are completed early. It will more than likely be a "wait and see" kind of day. He is ready though to get it done and put it behind him. This will just put him one step closer to focusing only on rehab and getting stronger. Please pray for a successful surgery. My best to everyone.
