We are out of ICU! ......We said our goodbye's to all the wonderful nurses there...we hope to see them again ...but not as Ron as a patient...just to visit from here on out. He is settled in in the new room ...they gave us a nice corner . larger room ...we have a great view of the Catalina mountains. Lots of room to be comfortable in. He has his own private bathroom and shower....which I am able to use now. He is currently receiving his IV infusion of the Retuximab...his 4th and final dose. Dr. Copeland came by and said his echo today looked awesome! He said it is practically normal. It is functioning very well. All good news to hear today. Now that he is receiving his last dose of this medication....he will just have to be monitored closely....to make sure there is no further rejection. They cannot give him too much of the medication and wipe out all his b-cells...otherwise he will start developing all types of infections...it is a balancing act when dealing with these medications. We hope to have someone from cardiac rehab up to see him tomorrow...they gave him a quick assessment today to get things going on this. He needs to get stronger ...he needs to start walking again. Ron's new room number is 4832, 4NE. The new phone number is 520-694-2005. But, you can always call on our cell phone, too ...623-570-5539. "27 I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid. 28 Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again." John 14: 27-28 |

That's wonderful news! I'm glad you have a larger room. It helps to make you feel not so cramped up between the four walls and a great view of the Catalina's. It's almost like a resort:) I'm excited to hear the echo was great!
My thoughts and prayers go out to you.
